It was on December 31st 1996, at the New Years Eve cocktail party at Big Twin Aruba, that owner Humphrey Hardeveld, proposed to unite our local Harley Davidson enthusiast and riders into a club.

As a general rule a dealer is obliged to sponsor a group or club thus the most likely and most logical thing to do would be to initiate with the Harley Owners Group of Aruba.

Together with 2 Harley Davidson pioneers who helped start the process of the Dealership in Aruba, we started to venture out the possibility to have our own HOG Chapter.

This was not an easy process as there were many grievances amongst local Harley Davidson Riders but in the end we finally had our first official Board and on the 6th of May 1997 we received our Chapter certification from the head office of H.O.G. International.

And as they say the rest was history

Today we have grown to a reputable status with approximately 100 local and international members and approximately 400 Harley Davidson motorcycles on the Island. HOG aruba Chapter is proud to have Humprey Hardeveldt and Big Twin Aruba as their sponsor.

Now on the day we are celebrating our 12th year of existence, we are proud to launch our official web site. This was done in conjunction with Busters Garage which is rapidly becoming "the new biker's hangout" since its opening early this year.

The Board of HOG Aruba Chapter would like to thank each and every one, especialy those who wish to remain anonimous, that has made this joyful occasion a memorable one. We would also like to shout a special thanks to the producers of "Turbo" for poviding pictures and video's on various rides. We hope that through this website we can connect and inform our members in an inovative and profesional manner.  We are looking forward  to many more years of happy riding.
